Learn to Skate is back!

It's time again!

Our next Learn to Skate program begins on 29 September 2023.

This time we're running things a little differently. Thanks to the Office of Sport Active Fest initiative, we're able to run a special 8 week learn to skate starting 29 September!

This program, in addition to our usual dedicated coaching sessions and gear hire, we're able to offer subsidised positions to those who otherwise would miss out due to financial restrictions.

Perfect for getting your body moving and learning a new skill, our 8 week program teaches you all the basics (and then some) to get you rolling.

Learn to skate, stop, fall safely, do crossovers, lateral, jump, and other basic derby skills on Friday and Sunday evenings with CCRDU.

All the details can be found on our Learn to Skate page.

Not sure if you want to commit to a whole program?

We are also hosting a Come and Try session on 24 September 2023 from 6pm-7pm at Niagara Park Stadium just before the start of the annual Coastal Twist Festival!

At this session you'll be able to hear from our members, ask us questions and learn a bit about roller derby. Even better, you'll be able to try on a pair of our hire skates and protective gear and have a roll around to see if it's for you!

Check out the details on our Upcoming Events page.
